FAQ

  • How old does my child have to be to start lessons?
I have taught children as young as 3 years old. The lessons are usually only 15mins long and comprise of dancing and clapping to introduce them to rhythm and music. Although each child is different, I've found that starting from the age of 5 years old is best. The child generally has a longer attention span and can grasp and retain musical concepts better at this age.
  • Do you teach adults?
Yes! I have many adult students. Some are returning to their musical education, others have never played before but want to start.
  • Can I learn more current music?
Yes you can! I've found that students learn and progress best when they are playling the music that they love to listen to. So whether you like to listent to current pop songs, rock n roll, bues, jazz, classical or anything in between, your lesson will be tailored with that in mind. in fact, before your very first lesson we will have a chat about the types of music you and like and which songs you would like to learn how to play. You will also be more inclined to practice the music that you love.
  • I really want to learn how to produce music but I don't have a musical background. Can I still produce music?
Yes you can. While having a musical background helps you don't need it to start learning how to mix and record. Depending on what your goals are, your lesson will be tailored to your specific needs.
  • When do I know its the right time to start looking into learning music production?
If you have an interest in creating music on the computer, layering different instruments together and creating your own music... then you're probably ready to start learning how to produce music and audio.
